At Churchward School,  we are open and honest about the views of our stakeholders (Parents/Carers, Students and Staff) and are more than happy to share information from questionnaires. We take the results seriously and respond to feedback both positive and negative.

What our families say about Churchward School – from the annual Parent and Carer Survey July 2022

• 86% of parents and carers agreed that their child was safe in school.
• 86% of parents and carers felt their child was making progress at school.
• 86% of parents and carers feel supported with any concerns they have.
• 23% strongly agreed, and 50% agreed that their child is happy at school.
• 50% strongly agreed, and 36% agreed that their child is well looked after at school.
• 45% strongly agreed, and 32% agreed that their child is taught well.
• 27% strongly agreed, and 41% agreed that Churchward School prepares their child well for adulthood.
• 36% strongly agreed, and 32% agreed that students are well behaved.

Our child has made excellent progress in his first year, and all staff have been excellent. We are fully appraised of any incidents and any resulting actions that are taken. All of our concerns have been addressed and resolved very quickly.

I just wanted to write to re-iterate my thanks for all of the support that Churchward give to my young person placed with you. The progress that our young person has made with you has been amazing. As an outside professional working alongside your team, the school always give their best ensuring that the young person is placed at the heart of all decisions. Meetings are always highly professional, with clear outcomes and expertly managed. Claire is always in communication with me and the social care team and all offers of additional training or support are always welcomed. I can genuinely say that I don’t think T could be in a better school, and I know that the other professionals that work alongside me would echo this. External Professional
