REME Museum Visit
Churchward School students from Hawking Class had an amazing day when they visited the REME (Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers) Museum in Lyneham to gain more knowledge of World War II. Hawking Class students explored the museum and learnt all about the REME heritage.
Students also took part in two workshops which they really enjoyed. The first workshop was looking and learning about the uniforms and accessories from 1942. The second workshop was “The Backpack Challenge” where all students carried a backpack containing challenges designed to get them exploring the museum and using their own initiative to discover the answers.
Huge thanks to the REME Museum – all students (and staff) had an amazing day and the behaviour from all the students was excellent.
