Obama Class visit a local farm
As part of their ‘Why is our world so great?’ topic, Obama class visited a local farm to learn about farming and harvesting fruits and vegetables.
As well as enjoying a beautiful Autumnal morning, they learned about looking after the animals and developed their communication and interaction skills asking Farmer Beth questions they had generated in English.
They learnt this very interesting fact – Did you know that if every visitor to Lotmead Farm ate two strawberries, it would cost them £10,000 a month in lost revenue?!
Obama class returned to school to make some delicious strawberry smoothies and roast potatoes – they were so good we’re going to grow some of our own at school to hopefully harvest for our Christmas dinner!
