Safeguarding

Keeping children safe is our number one priority. We ensure that the safety and well-being of every child is at the centre of every decision we make. Churchward staff have a responsibility to create and maintain a safe learning environment for all our young people. We have a responsibility to identify where there are child welfare concerns and take action to address them in partnership with other organisations.

All staff at Churchward are aware and kept up to date with the South West child protection procedures.

Child Protection staff training is mandatory for everyone.

Promoting safeguarding and child protection is fundamental at Churchward and students are given numerous opportunities to consider risk situations and explore strategies for keeping safe.
